Social Security Retirement Benefits: How do they calculate my Retirement Benefits. How soon before retiring should I apply? Collecting Strategies from a financial planning perspective. What’s the Best Time to Collect? Are there exceptions? What about spousal and widow(er)’s benefits? Will my benefits be taxed or reduced if I work or retire early?

Annuities and the Role they can play in Your Financial Life: Annuities are among the most misunderstood of all financial vehicles. These unloved insurance contracts can have different phases, come in many varieties, and can be overwhelmingly complex. And yet, annuities can manage certain retirement security risks no other financial vehicle can. This session will describe types of annuities and the roles they can play in your retirement income plan.

(2 P.M. – 3 P.M.)

Identifying and Managing Investment Risks: There are no Risk-Free Investments. Therefore, it’s important to identify the Sources of Investment Risks. Prudent investors opt to bear certain investment risks and avoid others.  The risks they embrace they manage. How to manage the risks investers choose to bear is the subject of this session.
