Skidmore College Retirees Presentation-Triggers for an Estate Plan Review
“What Should Trigger Estate Plan Review?”
Has it been some time since you assembled your estate planning documents? Could it be time to update your estate plans? New tax laws, a change in your health or that of a family member; the birth of a grandchild; a change in yours’s or a beneficiary’s marital status; a plan to move to another state; a falling out with your executor or family member, are among the multiplicity of events that could trigger you to rethink your estate plan. This session will consider why these changes (and others) are a reminder to keep your estate plans update to date. We’ll also consider how to go about making those changes to your estate planning documents.
